Research Summary

My research specializes in the molecular genetics of wheat and barley, with a focus on map-based gene cloning, rapid gene cloning technologies, male sterility, disease resistance, and germplasm innovation. I have successfully cloned several novel wheat and barley genes with significant breeding value, such as the male sterile gene Ms2, HvMsg26, and stripe rust resistant genes YrNAM and YrAS2388. Additionally, my collaborators and I developed “WheatOmics”, a platform that integrates multiple omics datasets to expedite functional genomics research in Triticeae crops. This platform has been accessed over 1.8 million times and has become an essential tool for functional genomics studies on wheat and barley globally.
